Res 2000 - 85 Urging the City of St. Paul to Expedite a Solution to the Smell & Noise Pollution Eminating from the Gopher State Ethanol PlantCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 00-85 RESOLUTION URGING THE CITY OF ST. PAUL TO EXPEDITE A SOLUTION TO THE SMELL AND NOISE POLLUTION EMINATING FROM THE GOPHER STATE ETHANOL PLANT WHEREAS, the City of St Paul recently collaborated with the Minnesota Brewing Company to construct the very first ethanol plant to be located within an urban area on West Seventh Street, and; WHEREAS, this ethanol plant is located on St. Paul's border directly across the Mississippi River from Mendota Heights, and; WHEREAS, Mendota Heights continues to receive complaints from its residents; and WHEREAS, the ethanol plant is adversely impacting the quality of life for our residents by its emission of foul odors and the creation of humming noises. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights urges the City of St. Paul to work as quickly as possible to solve this problem.
