A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL
TO APPOINP.IILL SMITH TO THEIR
TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 00-.93-1
WHEREAS, there is a vacancy on the Transportation Advisory Board to the
Metropolitan Council for Districts 15 and 16; and
WHEREAS, Jill Smith, who is a resident of the City of Mendota Heights and a former
City Council member, has applied to serve as a member of that commission; and
WHEREAS, the Mendota Heights City Council, because of their long, close
association with Jill'Smith*is extremely familiar with her talents and capabilities; and
WHEREAS, Jill Smith is an extremely dedicated, hard working professional person
who does her homework and is always prepared to address every issue; and
WHEREAS, Jill Smith because of her skills and enthusiasm was often asked and/or
volunteered for service on committees and task forces, Metropolitan Area Sound Abatement
Council (MASAC), Cable TV Commission (NDC4), MSP Reuse Task Force, AMM Metro
Agencies Advisory Committee, to name only a very few.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights that Jill Smith's appointment to the Transportation Advisory Board be
most enthusiastically endorsed.
