Res 2000 - 95 Approving an Application for a 3-Foot Height Variance & an Opacity Variance for a Privacy Fence at 2350 Copperfield DrCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 00-95 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR A THREE FOOT HEIGHT VARIANCE AND AN OPACITY VARIANCE FOR A PRIVACY FENCE AT 2350 COPPERFIELD DRIVE WHEREAS, Ms. Kim Blaeser has applied for a three foot height variance and an opacity variance for a privacy fence at 2350 Copperfield Drive as proposed in Planning Case #00-41; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular meeting on October 24, 2000 and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 6-1 to recommend that the Council approve this application. • NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a three-foot height variance and an opacity variance for a privacy fence at 2350 Copperfield Drive as proposed in Planning Case #00-41 is hereby approved. • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that this variance approval is based upon the hardships imposed by the concerns over safety and noise, and the fact that the lot is a corner lot. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that this three foot height variance and an opacity variance for a privacy fence at 2350 Copperfield Drive as proposed in Planning Case #00-41 would not have an adverse - impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
