Res 2000 -101 Extending a Moratorium on Planning/Development & Building Permit Applications for the Town Center SiteCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 00-101 A RESOLUTION EXTENDING A MORATORIUM ON PLANNING/DEVELOPMENT AND BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS FOR THE TOWN CENTER SITE WHEREAS, Mendota Heights is currently undergoing a planning process for the redevelopment of the north east corner of Dodd Road (TH 149) and TH 110 specifically a 23 acre site known as the Mendota Heights Town Center, as per attached site plan labeled Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights is conducting and has authorized to be conducted, studies relating to the redevelopment of such site; and WHEREAS, in the interest of public health, safety and welfare, and to protect the planning process, the City of Mendota Heights desires to prevent any further plans for development of the site or building on the site until such City master planning of the site is completed; and WHEREAS, a one-year planning/development and building permit moratorium was established on December 21, 1999, and WHEREAS, that one-year moratorium will expire on December 21, 2000, without the planning process being completed. / NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the planning, development, use, subdivision, and building permit moratorium within the City of Mendota Heights prohibiting the planning, development and building of any parcel within the designated redevelopment area as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto to allow time for the City to master plan for its redevelopment is extended for a period of six months or until June 21, 2001. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that during this moratorium there will be no planning applications or building permits accepted or approved by the City for this property.
