RESOLUTION AMENDING PAY CLASSIFICATION SCHEDULE FOR NON -ORGANIZED
EMPLOYEES TO REFLECT A 3% ANNUAL ADJUSTMENT FOR 2001
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 87-67, the City Council has adopted a grade -and -step pay
system for non -organized City employees that meets the requirements of MSA 471.991, the Pay
Equity Act; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to annually review the pay matrix that is a part of that system
-for adjustment in recognition of increases in cost of living; and

WHEREAS, based on salary trends in the metropolitan area suburbs, and budgeted funds
available, a 3% adjustment in the matrix for 2001 is reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that the Grade and Step Pay Matrix attached hereto as Appendix A, is hereby adopted as
Appendix A of Resolution No. 87-67, adopted by the City Council on July 7, 1987.

RESOLUTION 00-100
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CRITICAL AREA PERMIT
FOR A NEW HOME AT 1223 KNOLLWOOD LANE
WHEREAS, Mr. George Spanjers has applied for a Critical Area Permit for a
new home at 1223 Knollwood Lane, as proposed on plans in Planning Case File CAO 00-
04; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application
at their regular meeting on October 24, 2000 and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-0 (with two Commissioners
absent) to recommend that the Council approve this application.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a Critical Area Permit for a new home at 1223 Knollwood
Lane, as proposed on plans in Planning Case File CAO 00-04 is hereby approved on the
following conditions:
1. The retaining wall shall be made of stone and shall not exceed a height of five
feet as indicated by the applicant.
2. The trees on the property shall be preserved by protective fencing to avoid soil
compaction by construction equipment or materials.
3. The City Engineer shall review and approve all grading, drainage, and erosion
control measures.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this Critical Area Permit for a new home at 1223 Knollwood Lane, as
proposed on plans in Planning Case File CAO 00-04 under the above conditions would
not have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the
community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose
and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
