Res 2001 - 59 Approving Front Yard Setback Variances for 2 Signs for Dennis Trooien of DS of Centre Pointe (GNB) at 1101 Centre Pointe CurveCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 01-59 A RESOLUTION APPROVING FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCES FOR TWO SIGNS FOR DENNIS TROOIEN OF DS OF CENTRE POINTE (GNB) AT 1101 CENTRE POINTE CURVE WHEREAS, Dennis Trooien of DS of Centre Pointe (GNB) has applied for 82 - foot Front Yard Setback Variances for two Signs at 1101 Centre Pointe Curve as proposed in Planning Case #01-32; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular meeting on September 25, 2001; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-1 to recommend that the Council approve the 82 -foot Front Yard Setback Variances for two Signs; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the 82 -foot Front Yard Setback Variances for two Signs at 1101 Centre Pointe Curve as proposed in Planning Case #01-32 are hereby approved on the following conditions: 1. The three existing freestanding signs along Lexington Avenue (one identifying the building and two directions signs) shall be removed 2. The new signs shall be no taller than the Centre Pointe signs in the immediate vicinity. 3. The new signs shall be no brighter than the Centre Pointe signs in the immediate vicinity. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the Front Yard Setback Variances for two Signs at 1101 Centre Pointe Curve as proposed in Planning Case #01-32 would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
