Administrator Johnson for a brief history o the proposed
project. Councilman Lockwood arrived at 8: 7 o'clock P.M.
Administrator Johnson explained that sanita sewer had been
installed on Veronica Lane in conjunction w'th the Orchard/
Hunter Lane improvements. He noted that a etition for the
presently proposed improvements initiated t is project, and
that notices of the hearing had been mailed to the affected
property owners and had been published in t e Sun Newspaper.

Councilman Gutzmer arrived at 8:19 o'clock .M. .
Mayor Huber asked for questions or comments from the audience
and also expla�ined that anyone objecting t the proposed
improvements should submit a letter to the Council or list
their names and objections on a list provi ed by the Clerk. �
Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Fischer, 1867 Hunter ane, objected to
the inclusion of concrete curb and gutters in the project.
The Council briefly discussed the matter a d it was the
concensus that concrete curb and gutters b constructed in
' straight alignment all along the south sid of Veronica Lane
� and that the turn-around be enlarged on th north side
adjacent to and part of the driveway into he City lift station.

After a brief discussion, Councilman Gutzmer moved the adoption
of Resolution No. 76-03, "RESOLUTION DESIGNA ING OFFICIAL CITY
NEFTSPAPER," designating the Dakota County Tr'bune as the
official newspaper for 1976.

After inspection and consideration of the problems relative o
e Fire Department and Public Works Department, the Task Force mmittee
unanimous in the following recommendation to the Council. The Committee
els that the best solution would be to recommend that the Publi Works
partment vacate the building with the Fire Department on Dodd ad and
new facility be constructed just for the Public Works Departmen . The
re Department then would be the sole occupant of this building hich
ould take care of their immediate and long-term needs.
The committee also has formed two subcommittees, one would b chaired
