Radabaugh, City City of Mendota Heights �� o�� �r N� CITY OF M�iVDOTA HEIGHTS �:. �� �"�ssessment Hearing Data � Improv�ment 75 Project 5 Cull�n Avenue ,., .�-7: July 26; 1�7G This was a small project to construct the short secti n of street to ext�nd Cullen Avenue from Theresa Street to Lexi gton Avenue to provide a second means of access to Curley's Val ey Vie�,r Addition. � Estimated cost for this project stated at the hearing was $7,500.00. Because three of the four lots abutting are co ner lots tne total assessable footage is 288.5 feet. At the hearin it was suggested that an assessment of $10.J0 to $12.00 per foot tould be fair and just. The total cost for the project including engineering d over- head amounts to $6,281.00. The City Administrator pointed ut that right of way costs should be included in the total cost. T e right of way was outained through condemnation some years ago at cost of $3,500.00. Tnis figure was not included in the estimate project cost of $7,500.00. Adding the R-O-P� cost to tiie constructi n costs results in a grand total of $9,781.00. Because actual construction costs c3ere slightly less tzan anti- cipated it is fair to set an assessment rate of $10.00 per ront foot for this type of construction.
