We live in an age where
information is more easily
accessible and easily stolen.
We need to not only look
out for ourselves but also
for our neighbors.
Only the mailman should
have access to mailboxes—if
you see someone rifling
through mailboxes, call 911.
Avoid mailing outgoing items
from your curbside mailbox,
do not us the mailbox flag and
remove items promptly. Check
into a locked mailbox or
moving your mailbox closer to
your house.
Check your accounts often
and report unauthorized
activity or potentially stolen
data immediately.
Before reacting to an email or
phone call and immediately
providing private information
or clicking on an unidentified
link, find a way to give
yourself time to process it and
consider it before responding
to ensure you are making a
safe decision.
