2008-05-02 Friday NewsAdministrative Assistants Day
We’ve adopted the tradition of taking the administrative support staff out
to lunch the week after Administrative Assistants day, in hopes of having
an easier time booking a table big enough for everyone. This Wednesday,
Kristen, Sue, Paul, Jake, Kathy and I treated our front desk staff to lunch at
Lucky’s Thirteen. Special thanks to Guy for watching the phones and
manning the front desk while we were out. Thanks to Pam, Sharon, Mary,
Sandy, Teresa, Linda, Nancy and Stacy for everything they do to help keep
the City running smoothly!

Clean-Up Day this Saturday!
Jake has been reminding everyone he can that tomorrow, May 3 is the Annual Spring
Clean-Up. The Clean-Up will be held at Mendota Plaza again this year, starting at 8a.m.
and ending at 2p.m. This is a great chance for Mendota Heights residents to get rid of the
extra stuff which accumulates over the years. This year, residents can bring in their elec-
tronics to be recycled for free! We’ve got a crew of about 20 volunteers who will be on
hand to help unload cars, rain or shine. Make sure to spread the word!

Is it Spring Yet?
Public Works mowed the grass at City Hall this week for the first time this year. Lambert tells me that that is
a sure sign that spring is finally here.
