CITY HALL
On Tuesday painters finished sheetrock repairs and repainting of the lobby ceiling and painted
areas in the Council Chambers. City Hall looked (and smelled) brand new for the City Council
Meeting last night.
WEB STREAMING
At their regular meeting on Tuesday night, the City Council voted to move forward with a
proposal from the Cable Commission to do web-streaming of City meetings. The technology
will allow meetings to be viewed from anywhere in the world via the internet. Meetings can
either be watched live, or on-demand. This is an exciting opportunity to bring citizens one more
way to stay informed of city actions. The City of Inver Grove Heights is also proceeding with
the project, while the other Cities in the cable commission, West. St. Paul and South St. Paul, are
still considering when they will be able to participate.
SPECIAL DELIVERY!
Jake’s daughter, Makenzie was able to return home from Fairview
University Hospital Tuesday afternoon. This was her fourth open-heart
procedure to try and help her heart move blood to her left lung. Doctors
(and Parents) were pleased with the results of the procedure. Makenzie
has been inundated with well wishes and gifts, including a visit from
MHFD! Even though she was tuckered out from a full day on Tuesday,
MJ was excited to get into the fire engine, and rip open the
wonderful gift that the Fire Department put together for her and
her little brother.
Jake and Heidi would like to thank everyone for their support and
concern during this challenging time. They would also like to
remind everyone to hold their loved ones tight this holiday season.
2008 HOLIDAY PARTY
Council Member Schneeman is working on arranging our annual City Holiday Party, this year at
“The Sage”. The tentative date is Friday January 18th so please mark your calendars.
ANOTHER SHORT WEEK AT CITY HALL
City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving. Public Works will be open
on Friday according to their labor contract.
