Monday morning. I have attached copies of some information that we picked up at the conference
and a copy of the news article about the conference from the Star Tribune paper.

Also attached is a copy of a St. Paul Pioneer Press article on MERP. Collette Jurek, Xcel’s
Community Relations Manager was at a recent City Council meeting to update the Council on how
this initiative will affect Mendota Heights. Xcel will be upgrading their overhead electric

TOWN HALL FORUM
Council Member Ultan Duggan and Airport Relations Commissioner Liz Petschel, along with other
community representatives of the MSP Noise Oversight Committee are hosting a series of
informational meetings regarding airport noise (see attached press release and agenda). We are the
first of a series of four forums. We are hoping to get an excellent turn out in Mendota Heights, so
please plan on coming on February 17 th and invite your neighbors and friends too.
WATER TOWER ANTENNAS
Design One, a subcontractor for Verizon Wireless was climbing around the City’s water tower this
week upgrading their cellular phone antennas. Verizon is one of three wireless phone services that
have antennas on the City’s water tower.
SYMPATHIES TO GEORGE
Our sympathies goes out to Public Works employee George Noack this week. His mother Phyllis
who was a long time city resident died on Tuesday.
Respectfully submitted,
