Res 2012- 93 Variance 1018 Overlook Rd Garage DoorsCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2012 -93 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE FOR MORE THAN THREE GARAGE DOORS AT 1018 OVERLOOK ROAD WHEREAS, Daniel Fleischhaker has applied for a variance to install a second double garage door at 1018 Overlook Road (PID 27- 32800 -04 -010, Lot 1, Block 4 Highland Heights South) as proposed in planning case 2012 -29; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter at their regular meeting October 23, 2012. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mendota Heights City Council that a variance as proposed in planning case 2012 -29 is hereby approved with the following findings of fact: 1. The proposed garage meets all zoning requirements for setback, size and finish material. 2. The proposed landscaping is such that the two double garage doors will be screened from adjacent property and rights -of -way. 3. The configuration of the garage and orientation of the garage doors is consistent with the intent of the ordinance. 4. The fact that the property abuts two streets creates a practical difficulty that is unique to the property. 5. The proposed garage improvements are not out of character with the locality or neighborhood in which the property is located.
