ROGERS LAKE ANOMS METER REQUEST
Mr. Mike Kosel, 889 Bluebill Drive, informed the Commission that he was about to send
a letter to Roy Fuhnnann of the Metropolitan Airports Commission requesting that an
ANOMS meter be installed in the Rogers Lake Neighborhood. Mr. Kosel said that he
would also be providing a copy of the letter to the Mendota Heights Airport Relations
Commission and City Administrator Cari Lindberg. Mr. Kosel added that the MAC
would be holding their next Part 150 Public Information Meeting at 7:00 pm on July 25,
2001 at the Thunderbird Hotel in Bloomington and that he hoped that some members of
the Airports Relations Commission would attend.
Chair Beaty asked for volunteers to attend the July 25 Part 150 meeting.
Mr. Hollister and Commissioners Stein and Petschel offered to attend the meeting. Mr.
Hollister added that he would inquire with City Administrator Lindberg to see if she was
available, but that she was very busy and may not be able to attend.
AIRPORT NOISE VIDEO
Mr. Hollister reminded the Commission that at the June 13, 2001 meeting of the Airports
Relations Commission, the Commissioners had appointed a subcommittee to review the
draft script at a separate meeting. Mr. Hollister reported that the subcommittee met for
lunch on a Monday and reviewed the proposed changes to the script by the MAC, some
of which the subcommittee adopted and some of which they did not. Mr. Hollister added
that the subcommittee also recommended some other revisions to the script, which were
incorporated into the draft and submitted to the professional scriptwriter, Lisa Bartels-
Rabb. Mr. Hollister provided the most recent draft by Ms. Bartels-Rabb. Mr. Hollister
then introduced Mr. Dennis Raftery and Mr. Mark Oftedahl of NDCTV to discuss the
making of the video.
Mr. Raftery and Mr. Oftedahl discussed with the Commission the logistics of filming the
script. Mr. Raftery told the Commission that he thought that the script as currently
written would yield a 15-minute video, but that the video could be longer depending on
the film footage, computer graphics or other effects that the Commission inserted into the
video.
The Commission asked Mr. Raftery and Mr. Hollister to meet with Chad Lecive of the
MAC at his office to determine what resources the MAC would have to help the
Commission make this video.
