Autumn Colors
Our community will soon be filled with beautiful
autumn colors as our trees change with the
season. It is important that we all do our part
to make sure that falling leaves do not make
their way into the watershed.
Please rake and dispose of leaves properly—
leaves that get into the storm water system de-
posit phosphorus, which has a negative impact
on water quality in area lakes and ponds.
Council Meeting Date Change
The City Council typically meets the first and
third Tuesday of each month. The first Tues-
day of November 2012 happens to be election
day. As such, the City Council has decided to
move the meeting date one week earlier, and
will meet on Tuesday, October 30, 2012.
A special meeting will be called to canvas elec-
tion results in the week of the general election.
Absentee Voting Underway
The election season is in full swing right now—
for those of you unable to vote in your precinct
on November 6, 2012 absentee voting for the
2012 General Election is underway.
The MN Secretary of State has a great
webpage to help you navigate the voting pro-
cess, and link you to candidate/issue pages.
