RESOLUTION FORMALLY ACCEPTING A GIFT TOWARDS
T�IIE SCOTT PATRICK MEMORIAL
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights desires to memorialize Officer Scott Patrick;
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Statute requires a resolution to accept gifts to
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Statute requires a resolution to accept gifts to
municipalities; and
WIIEItEAS, the City has previously acicnowledged gifts with a resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights encourages and supports citizens who wish to
participate in government; and
WH]EREAS, the sacrifice of Officer Scott Patrick should be memorialized by the City of
Mendota Heights with the participation of everyone impacted by his death; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights have duly considered this
matter and wish to acknowledge the civic mindedness of citizens and officially recognize their
donations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights accepts the donation of $2,000 from the Pool and Yacht C1ub for use
towards an Officer Memorial.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 3rd day of November, 2015.
