2015-10-06 Council minutes Closed SessionCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA Minutes of the Closed Session Held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council, City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota was held at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, Minnesota. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Krebsbach called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. Councilmembers present included Duggan, Norton, Petschel, and Povolny. Also in attendance were City Administrator Marlc McNeill, City Attorney Tom Lehmann, and Public Works Director John Mazzitello. CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS UNION CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS: Mayor Krebsbach stated that, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.03 subd. 1(b), the City Council wouid be going into a closed session. Counciimember Duggan moved to adjourn to a closed session. Councilmember Norton seconded the motion. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 The purpose of the closed session was to consider strategy for labor negotiations, including negotiation strategies or developments or discussion and review of labor negotiation proposals, conducted pursuant to sections 179A.01 to 179A.25. CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS PENDiNG LITIGATION AGAlNST THE CITY Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05 subd. 3(b), the City Council continued in closed session. Present for this portion of the meeting were Mayor Krebsbach, Councilmembers Duggan, Norton, Petschel, and Povolny. Also in attendance were City Administrator Marlc McNeill, City Attorney Tom Lelunann, Public Worlcs Director John Mazzitello. The purpose of the closed session was to discuss potential litigation against the city. Counciimember Duggan moved to adjourn the closed session Ineeting. Counciimember Norton seconded the motion. Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Mayor Krebsbach stated no action was taken by the Council in closed session. Councilmember Duggan moved to adjourn the meeting at 6:39 p.m. Councilmember Norton seconded the motion.
