A RESOLUTION ORDERING OF IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND PREPARATION OF
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE KNOLLWOOD LANE NEIGHBORHOOD
REHABILITATION
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution 2011 -08 on January 18, 2011 setting the date
c� for a public hearing on the proposed improvements to Cherry Hill Road (East of Wachtler Avenue),
Farmdale Road (East of Wachtler Avenue), Ivy Lane, Knollwood Court, Knollwood Lane, Lower
Colonial Drive, Medora Court, Medora Road, Upper Colonial Drive Trail; and
.� WHEREAS, ten (10) days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was
given, and the hearing was held on the 19th day of April, 2011, at which all persons desiring to be heard
were given an opportunity to be heard thereon on the question of the proposed construction of the
-� following described improvements:

Street reconstruction improvements consisting of, but not limited to, bituminous milling or
removal, concrete curb and gutter, and bituminous surfacing to Knollwood Court, Knollwood
Lane (North of Emerson Avenue), Medora Court & Medora Road; and preventative maintenance
to Cherry Hill Road (East of Wachtler Avenue), Farmdale Road (East of Wachtler Avenue), Ivy

Lane, Knollwood Lane (South of Emerson Avenue), Lower Colonial Drive and Upper Colonial
Drive.

WHEREAS, the proposed assessable area for said improvements is situated within the City of
Mendota Heights in Dakota County, Minnesota and includes those parcels that currently have driveway
access on the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mendota Heights City Council as follows:

1. Such improvements are necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the
feasibility report.
2. That the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans and
specifications for said improvement.
