Town Center Townhomes Ready for Approval
Ross Feffercorn, the developer for Town Center, will be presenting the east and west townhome
th
neighborhood plans to Council for final PUD approval at the May 6 City Council meeting. Ross has
submitted the site plans, landscape plans, and building plans for review. They are extremely attractive,
well-thought out plans and he will have his colored renderings to show at the meeting.
Spring Clean Up
Spring Clean Up day will be here soon. It is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
Mendota Plaza. We still need volunteers to help, even an hour or two is helpful. For further information
call Patrick Hollister at (651)452-1850. Spring Clean-Up is made possible by a grant from the OEA and
Dakota County Environmental Management.
Appliance Collection Day
Old appliances can be picked up from your driveway on Monday, May 5, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Call
JR's Appliance by Friday, May 2 for prices and to schedule your pick-up. Dial 454-9215 and ask for
Operator 33. The Appliance Collection is also made possible by a grant from the OEA and Dakota
County Environmental Management.
Ramp Closure
The ramp from southbound I-35E to Highway 13 will close on May 5th. The duration of the closure is
expected to be three months. The posted detour will be south on 35E to Highway 110 east bound, then
north on 35E to Highway 13.
Quiet Week
Except for a 6 hour Planning Commission meeting (with eleven planning cases) on Tuesday night, it’s
been a quiet week at City Hall. Because April has five Tuesdays, there are no City meetings scheduled
for next week to prepare agendas for.
