April 8, 1963
Thee meeting convened at 8:05 with all members presents Also present were
ten citizens from the Wagenkuecht addition re State Hey plans at Victoria
and Hwy. 100, and Masre. Kennings and McDonald re Dr. McKenzie property.
2. Motion by Lustig, seconded by Brass. that plans for the Mendota school
addition be forwarded to the council with recommendation for approval. Ryes 7, wee 0.
3 Motion by Weed, seconded by Bancroft, that the commission recommend to the
council that whatever action is required by the highway department to assure
construction of the bridges crossing 35E et Marie and M. H. Road ae previously
recommended by incorporated in the state highway plass. Ayes 7, neyes 0.
4 Mears. Hennings and McDonald represented Dr. McKenzie as having purchnased
approx. 1 acre on meets -and -bounds from the Sprafka property and inquiring
as to what would be necessary to secure sewer,and water hookups to the property
on which he plans to build a home. Many of the ramifications of the request with
respect to subdivision regulations, building permit requirements and parks and
playgrounds dedication were discussed. The commission suggested that the
applicant seek direction from the council as to what would be required.
5 Motion by Brass, seconded by Wright, that the commission notify the village
attorney of action with regard to the ►•ichenzie lot and request a ruffling from
him on the subdivision regulations involved and inquire as to how the intent
of the ordinance might more effectively be stated. Ayes 7, nayes 0..
The meeting adjourned at 10;30 p.m.

Interim Meetings
On April 15 all Commission. and several council members met with Howard Dahlgren
at the Sroder residence to examine and discuss a highway department proposal for
the handling of Victrria Ave. traffic to :be disrupted at the intersection of
35E and Hwy 100. The highway department proposal met with general disapproval
and several alternates were discussed. The majority favored a bridge crossing
of 358 on Victoria, and Howard Dahlgren agreed to convey the substance of the
discussion to the department.
On April 24 commission and council members viewed an alternate sketch presented
by Howard Dahlgren at the Wright residence. The new suggestion, bringing Victoria
parallel to the 35E egress up to its point of access to Hwy 100 and thence closely
paralleling Hay 100 to the vicinity of Lexington= -then alisy from Hwy 100 for the
access to Lexington, met with approval. Howard Dahlgren agreed to work out details.

May 8, 1963
The meeting convened at 8:04 a the village fire hall with Ed Sroder, Ed Stringer,
Dick Bancroft, Fred Brass, Len Lustig and Hardy Wright present. Also present was
Howard Dahlgren; Clerk Calkins; BeRoy Hansen res case 63-2; residents re Vic. -35E.
2 Case 63-2 was discussed in detail and Mr. Hansen :.greed to make further inquiries.
3 Case 62-9 brought yap for review by request of applicant, Mrs. Theresa Meidlinger.

reaueat and suggest to Mrs. Meidlinger that ideas for alternate
construction be discussed with Howard Dahlgren.
