The meeting convened at 800 p,m. at the village fire hall with Ed Sroder, Len
Lustig, Ed Stringer, Dick Bencroftt George Weed and Hardy Wright present. Also
present were Mayor Huber, Trustee Mertenuotto, Clerk Calkins and Howard Dahlgren.
Present re case 63-6 was Erwin Stobbe; re cam) 63=5, Arnold Rested; re playgrounds
propoaal, Mre. Dorothy Hughes, Val Merman and Jack Spector.

Request; Variance to Ordinance 02 as emmnded by V22 for building permit
Disposition; Motion by Stringer, emended by Weed, zeconded by Lustig to teble
the application pending opportunity to notify neighbors and adjoining property
owners of a meeting to discuss a proposal for s possible public road to be
prepared by Midwest Planning eo Reeearch; and to recommend to the village council
that a letter of reprimand be directed to the realtor. Ayes 60 mayes O.
3 Case 63-5 Modern Door es Lumber
Motion by Bancroft, seconded by Weed that the commission recommend approval of
moving the hones from the present location to a new location at the end of
existing facility pending submittal of formal application. Ayes 6, nayee O.
To aselet in completing the plot plan, it was eleo anderstood that the commission
would approve continued use of enisting parking space at variance with the ordinance,
being approximately 5° fro the right-of-way along Hwy. N.
4 Truetee Mertensotto presented the citieen°0 playground committee°0 report end
proposal for eie ployareas with alteraates. Motion by Wright, seconded by
Stringer that the commiesion formally approve the general outline of the proposal
and offer the assistance of the village planning consaltant to locate another
alternate site for the Curley Addition - Wagon Wheel Trail area. Ayes 6, wee O.
Dick Bancroft waft appointed leleon with the citizenscommittee on playgrounds.
5 A special commission meeting tem scheduled for September 25. Three reservations
for the Minn. Planning Assn. conference on the 21st were made.
6 Lttr. dtd. 8-21, village atty. to the commission and copy of litre dtd. 7-15,
village atty. to Mayor Heber were read and diecuesed. Motion by Wright, seconded
by Stringer to ask Midwest Planning Reeeardh to make up a proposal for revision
of the village comprehensive plan for adoption as an alternate to adoption of an
amendment to the zoning ordinance to incorporate pronosed changes in the northeast
section of the village. Ayes 6, nayee O.
set of Hwy. Dept. plane for Hwy. 49 near Etly. 100, received from the village
clerk, wis referred to Howard Dahlgren for report on or before the October meeting.
8 The proposal for a county street naming and numbering system was read and dismissed.

The meeting convened at 70,5 at the village fire hall with Ed Sroder, Len Lustig,
George Weed, Ed. Stringer and Hardy Wright preeent. Re case 63-5,. it was enderstood
with Don Prettyman that the areas not designated for construction or parking would
be sodded. Motion by Weed, seconded by Wright, amended by Stringer that the revised.
plot plan and application be recommended for approval and that a copy of the trans-
cript of Howard Dahlgren's verbal report be submitted with the recommendation.
Ayes 5, naves O. Arnold Arneson inquired bout poeelble multiple dwelling zoning
for the site opposite Modern Door & Lumber, and several members indicated that they
