October 9, 1963
The meeting convened at J;00 p.m. at the village fire hall with Ed Broder,
Lid Stringer, Len Lustig, Dick Bancroft and Hardy Wright present, Also present
was Howard Dahlgren. Present for portions of the meeting were Roger Evans,
Me or Huber, Clerk Calking, and Trustee Olson. Present re Case 63=6 were
Erwin Stobbe, Harvey Bream and twelve residents from thB immediate Mayfield Htso area.
2 Howard Dahlgren outlined some of the problems posed in Mayfield HtB, and Harold
Goodrich gave a history of the development of the area. A number of poseibilitiee
were suggested with pro d con arguments for each. Objections were raised by
residents to a 50 foot right-of-way for a public road on Mayfield Rte. easement,
brat none of the residents or owners objected to the dedication of a 30 foot
right-of-way corresponding to the easements It w agreed that an investigation
of village boundaries would be neoeesary before formulating 4 proposal. Mr. Goodrich

A letter from the Dakota County Planning Commission inquiring as to how the
commission was formed pointed up the lack of a village ordinance covering the
planning commission. It was agreed that a letter should be sent explaining
they origin and operation of the village planning commission.

The meeting convened ata 7;00 p.m. in the basement of the village hall with
Ed Sroder, Len Lustig and .h=ardy Wright present. Also present was Dick Bjorkland
and Dick Poor. Present re case 63-11 was Lynn Mortensen, Arriving later were
Mears. Parranto.

Request: Permit to place garage 155 from 3rd Ave.
Disposition; Motion by Lustig, seconded by Wright to recommend to the council
that the application be approved la view of signed statements from adjacent owners
and hardship considerations. Ayes 3, neyee 0.

Applicants P. H. Wohlers
Location: 641 Mendota Rd.
Request: Permit to build basement garage 105 closer to :ivy. 100 than adjacent home.
Disposition: Motion by Wright, seconded by Lustig to recommend approval in view of
agreement of owner affected and no visual obstruction to be anticipated. Ayes 3, neyes Q
4 Mr. Poor inquired about development possibilities for a piece of property on Dodd Rd.
and questions were answered regarding village ordinances and requirements. Messrs.
Parranto inquired about village preferences for platting of a tract north of Ivy
Falls addition; it was agreed that a grid pattern would be acceptable.
