June 15, 1964
The meeting convened at 800 p.m. at the village hall with Ed Stringer, Len Luti1 ,Dick
Tom Libra and Hardy Wright present. Also present were Ed Sroder and Dale Pollack.
Present re Case 6411 was Mr. Boardman, re case 64=12 was Harold Christensen.
2 Case 64-11 Economics Laboratory {Possibility of future side yard variance request
per indication of future building with 75° side yard pointed out by building inspector.
Motion by Bancroft, second by Wright that the application for construction of the
Economics Laboratories, Inc. mechanical building as proposed without additions 1 & 2
be approved with the understanding that this approval in no way signifies the COMMiSGiO
opinion on future additions. Ayes 5, nayes 0.
3 Case 6412
Applicant; Harold Christeneen, 1945 South Victoria
Request; Side yard variance for garage
Disposition; Motion by Bancroft, second by Libra that the commission recommend to the
council that the application be approved. Ayes 5, nayes O. Reasons given for the
recommendation were as follows; (1) that a 33 foot strip giving neighbor access to his
home is unbuildable (2) that the adjacent neighbor has submitted signed consent.
4 The council's inquiry as to whether use of available data might reduce the collecting
and writing expense of the industrial development brochure was considered. A brochure
prepared for the village in connection with issuance of municiple bonds was examined
and other possibilities explored. Reasons given for recommending that the work be
handled by Midwest Planning & Research had to do primarily with the detsirability of
placing responsibility for collecting up-to-date and accurate data with a professional
) firm that is intimately acquainted with details of viliag= development and planning.
