Rolf LjungRull called the meeting to order at 800 P M. A discussion followed
concerning preliminaries on a town house development on the north side of
Wachner road and neer Cherry Hills. The developers aro Bernard Darr n
Dorothy Xrdkelberg, partners in tho Lowry Kill Construction Co. George
Burards, a representative of thsir planning firm of Vason-Viehroan-Knight
Chapman, Inc. described tie project. The development would conis of 60
TInglish Tudotylo rental units at a ratio of 1 unit per 15,000 Are feet
of land, total acrag e 20.67. Hach unit would have a basement and car
garage. Additionaloopon parRing of 65 care would be provided. Tho e..,,velopers
according to Mr. 33arr would donate cash for Mendota Heights parks anti
Playgrounds. In addltion recreational facilities would be provided for tho
tenants such as 2 tennis courts, and owimming pools. Considerable discussion
took place regarding the plan to have all roads within the property to be
private. However the developers were agreeable to public roads aq might be
recommended by the comoiscion. The 60 It would consist of 8 each 3 bed-
room unito and 52 each 2 bedroom units. Oflanned constraction schedule pend-
ing apProvaI of projoct, Is the erection of 3 models in April and prepara-
tion o.' land prior to this period. Since the project is adjacent to Cherpy
Hills, the Planning Commission secretary rill send a letter of information to
the Cherry Hills Civic Association. Xn the opinion of Planning °emission
members the preliminary plot plan is one of the best presented to date.

VA Stringer discuosed Special meeting consisting of hlmoelf;Howard Dahlgren;
and the applicant, Tom Curley. Mr. Curley was instructed to,wrIte a letter
of conformance to all conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission
'and -the Village Council regarding his application for reSoning his'proPerty
and erection.of a furniture store. Mr. Stringer said a -satisfactory letter
of conformtmce has been received from Mr. Curley.

Commentg Howard Dahlgren and several members mentioned that probably
ordnances should be adhered to more rigidly in order to keep
V illage as property owners believed it would be when they moved.

Actions Howard Dahlgren will investigate.
Recommendation was made that asurvey be made as to location and
number of filling stations feasible for village.
Other Bussg Howard Dahlgren said he would make a written report as to
violations of ordnanceo by Tom Curleyos signs at the conner of •
Highway 110 and Lexington.
A motion was made by George Weed and seconded by 7,0n Lustig.
Motiong The plan should bo enforced as approved by the Court of Dakota County
with regard to the Harry Kirclw,or filling station on Highway i!490
CommentComplaints have been received about the Kirehnor,station that the
property is not being maintained and building contrary to the
original plan has taken place. Due to improper erparision illegal
parking hasoccurred causing a public nuisance.* •
A petition of objection sent to the Village Council was Passed among tilt
members concerning the ra1s5ng of dogs and horses at 1021 7agon 'ile.101 Trail.
Homan Sjoblom indicated his interest and possible intention of bwing a ono
acre piece of Property owned by Harvey Bream at the intersection of Bachelor
Avenue and the extension of wachtler Road. Since a subdivision.plot plan of
piece of Property is necessary due to parcel being loos than 2: acres, Mr.
Sjoblom was instructed to UO3 flr. Bream who would. have to submit plan prior
to sale of property.
Len Lustig announced his resignation from the Planning Commission. He had
Berveds2 e. member since 1951.
Rolf Ljunghull announced that Hardy Wright had resigned from the Planning
OemPlssion. Mr. Ljun,ffkull also cited M7.0 Lustig for his 1or.:3 service and
contribution to the co=uniV.
