Police Chief Receives His Masters
Police Chief Mike Aschenbrener after two years of study at the University of St. Thomas
successfully completed his Masters of Education in Police Administration. Mike received his
diploma in a commencement ceremony held last Friday. We all are extremely proud of Mike for
this great achievement.
Emmy Foster Has Tonsils Removed
Emmy Foster had her tonsils removed last week and was doing well, however she called Monday to
report that she had a very bad weekend. She went back to her doctor on Tuesday to get some
stronger pain medication – she feels that she will now be out at least until next Monday. A tough
way to spend Christmas.
Town Center Update
The street lights have been installed on Maple Street, Linden Street and at Dodd Road in the islands
on Market Street, these lights were turned on this week. Ross’ new real estate sign has been
installed at the intersection of Dodd Road and TH110.
City Engineer
The application period for City Engineer closed on Monday. There were 12 applicants.
Pat’s Grandfather
On Friday of last week, Ike Gillespie, Patrick Hollister’s grandfather died (obituary attached). Pat
has been reminiscing with funny stories about him all this week. Pat will be singing at Ike’s
funeral this Saturday.
Holiday Ahead
This week on Thursday and next week on Thursday are holidays and City offices will be closed.
On Wednesday and Friday of this week a large number of City staff are taking off it will be pretty
quiet around City Hall. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!
