RESOLUTION NO. 02-40
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL PERMIT
TO TURNERS GYMNASTICS CENTER FOR TEMPORARY SIGNS
WHEREAS, Ms. Carol Hammar, General Manager for Turners Gymnastics
Center, Inc. has requested a Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing two temporary
signs facing Highway 35E, as presented to the Council on the evening of August 6, 2002;
and
WHEREAS, Turners Gymnastics has agreed to adhere to certain conditions
enumerated below,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing two temporary
sign facing Highway 35E, all as presented to the Council on the evening of August 6,
2002, is hereby granted subject to the following conditions:
1. That Turner's Gymnastics contact the City's Code Enforcement Office and apply for
and receive the Sign Permit(s).
2. That this Special Temporary Sign Permit is for a one-time use only between August
16, 2002, and September 21, 2002 and these signs must be displayed no earlier than
midnight on August 16, 2002 and removed no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 21,
2002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing a 100 ft2 temporary sign facing
Highway 35E, as presented to the Council on the evening of August 6, 2002, under the
above conditions would have no adverse impact on the health, safety or general welfare
of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to
the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 6th day of August,
2002.
