RESOLUTION 03-27
A RESOLUTION DENYING A CRITICAL ARE PERMIT AND VARIANCE
FOR A FRONT PORCH
AT 645 SIBLEY MEMORIAL HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, Mr. Paul Haggerty has applied for a Critical Area Permit and
Variance for a Front Porch at 645 Sibley Memorial Highway [legal description] as
proposed in Planning Case #03-15; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application
at their regular meeting on March 25, 2003 and April 22, 2003; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend that the Council
deny the Critical Area Permit and Variance as presented to the Planning Commission on
the evening of April 22, 2003 and as shown in Planning Case #03-15.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a Critical Area Permit and Variance for a Front Porch for
645 Sibley Memorial Highway as proposed in Planning Case #03-15 is hereby denied.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Critical Area Permit and Variance for a
Front Porch for 645 Sibley Memorial Highway as proposed in Planning Case #03-15
would have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of
the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse to the general purpose
and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
