Res 2003- 46 Denying Comp Plan Amendment @ 1695 Dodd RdCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 03-46 A RESOLUTION DENYING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FROM GC "GOLF COURSE" TO LR "LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" AT 1695 DODD ROAD WHEREAS, Mendota Heights Par 3 Golf Course has applied for a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from GC "Golf Course" to LR "Low -Density Residential" at 1695 Dodd Road [legal description] as proposed in Planning Case #03-30; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular meeting on June 24, 2003; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 6-0 (with one Commissioner excused) to recommend that the Council deny the Comprehensive Plan Amendment as presented to the Planning Commission on the evening of June 24, 2003 and as shown in Planning Case #03-30. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from GC "Golf Course" to LR "Low -Density Residential" at 1695 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #03-30 is hereby denied. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Comprehensive Plan Amendment from GC "Golf Course" to LR "Low -Density Residential" at 1695 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #03-30 would have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
