Res 2003- 83 Approving Variance @ 737 Cheyenne LnCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 03-83 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SIX-FOOT FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCE FOR A GARAGE ADDITION AT 737 CHEYENNE LANE WHEREAS, Cliff Kirchner has applied for a Six -Foot Front Yard Setback Variance for a Garage Addition at 737 Cheyenne Lane [Lot 5 Block 9 Friendly Hills Re - Arrangement, According to the Plat Thereof Now on File] as proposed in Planning Case #03-44; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular meeting on August 26, 2003; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 4-0 (with three Commissioners excused) to recommend that the Council approve the Six -Foot Front Yard Setback Variance for a Garage Addition as presented to the Planning Commission on the evening of August 26, 2003 and as shown in Planning Case #03-44. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a Six -Foot Front Yard Setback Variance for a Garage Addition for 737 Cheyenne Lane as proposed in Planning Case #03-44 is hereby approved based on the following considerations: This lot is smaller than the standard lot size in Mendota Heights, creating a hardship requiring the variance. 2. This garage addition is consistent with the neighborhood. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Six -Foot Front Yard Setback Variance for a Garage Addition for 737 Cheyenne Lane as proposed in Planning Case #03-44 would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
