Res 2003- 84 Approving Variance @ 2360 Pilot Knob RdCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 03-84 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE FOR AN ADDITIONAL MONUMENT SIGN AT 2360 PILOT KNOB ROAD WHEREAS, Andrew Krenik on behalf of AMB has applied for a Variance for an additional Monument Sign at 2360 Pilot Knob Road [see attached legal description] as proposed in Planning Case #03-46; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular meeting on August 26, 2003; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 4-0 (with three Commissioners excused) to recommend that the Council approve the Variance for an additional Monument Sign as presented to the Planning Commission on the evening of August 26, 2003 and as shown in Planning Case #03-46. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a Variance for an additional Monument Sign for 2360 Pilot Knob Road as proposed in Planning Case #03-46 is hereby approved based on the following considerations: 1. The property at 2360 Pilot Knob Road is very large and oddly configured, making it difficult to provide adequate identification of tenants. 2. This difficulty in providing identification for tenants creates a hardship requiring the variance. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Variance for an additional Monument Sign for 2360 Pilot Knob Road as proposed in Planning Case #03-46 under the above condition would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights This 2nd day of September, 2003. ATTEST: By Kathl en M. Swanson, City Clerk CITY COUNCIL
