RESOLUTION NO. 04-46
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MENDOTA HEIGHTS TO ENTER INTO A GRANT
AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
SAFE & SOBER CAMPAIGN 2004 —2005
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights desires to continue participation in the
Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), Safe & Sober campaign.
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota requires a resolution of the City Council to
participate.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into five previous grants to provide increased
traffic enforcement and educational activities.
WHEREAS, the City has partnered with the West St. Paul Police Department to
increase traffic safety in the community.
WHEREAS, the City Councilors of the City of Mendota Heights have duly
considered this matter and believe that it is in the best interests of the City to enter into a
grant agreement with the OTS to provide enhanced traffic enforcement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOVLED that the proper City officers
be and hereby are authorized to execute such agreement and any amendments, and
thereby assume for and on behalf of the City all of the contractual obligations contained
therein.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 20th day of July, 2004.
