The applicant shall install landscaping on the west side of the driveway and garage consisting of shrubs or other appropriate planting no more than three feet in height to soften the view of the expanded garage and driveway. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that this Variance for Driveway Width for 1933 Crown Point Drive as proposed in Planning Case #04-25 is hereby approved under the above condition based on the following considerations: 1. The variance is necessary in order to put the property to reasonable use such that the parts of the property intended for vehicle storage can be properly accessed in a safe and reasonable manner. 2. There are unique circumstances pertaining to the applicant's property not caused by the owner including the odd shape of the lot, curvature of the road near the driveway and topographic features that create a sufficient hardship to justify the variance. 3.
